Air Jordan 5 Retro We The Best – Sail
The DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 5 “We the Best - Sail” is one of several popular colorways included in the special collaboration by the famous hip-hop producer on Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe. DJ Khaled’s collection of pastel-colored Jordan 5s is inspired by Miami and warm weather, as the shoe’s colorful accents undoubtedly call to mind both the Florida city and its climate. The shoe is complete with a Sail-colored leather construction with translucent netting on the tongue and mid-panel. Yellow “We the Best” branding inspired by Khaled’s signature catchphrase is embroidered on the heel of the left shoe while the Jordan 5’s original “Nike Air” logo is embroidered on the heel of the right shoe. The words “Keep” and “Going” are found on the underside of the blue quilted tongue tag. Classic Jumpman logo detailing appears on the Metallic Silver reflective tongue. The Air Jordan 6 “Georgetown” is a clean colorway of Michael Jordan’s sixth signature shoe inspired by the Georgetown Hoyas team uniforms. Although Jordan and the UNC Tar Heels defeated the Hoyas to win the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Championship in 1982, that hasn’t stopped Jordan Brand from using the popular basketball team’s uniform colors on several great Jordan shoes, including this Jordan 6. The Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo” is a colorway of Michael Jordan’s sixth signature shoe that unofficially nods to the popular snack of the same nickname. Jordan Brand’s “Oreo” color story continues on the Jordan 6 “Red Oreo,” which was released in June 2022 as part of its Summer 2022 release cycle. The “Red Oreo,” specifically, seemingly shows love to the Red Velvet Oreo flavor, sans any official Oreo branding or likeliness. The upper features a white leather construction that gives way to contrasting University Red accents. The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 marks the third time the world famous rapper and Jordan Brand have partnered on an Air Jordan. Scott revisits earth tones as the central theme of the “Cactus Jack” Air Jordan 6, just as he did with his first collaboration on both the high and low top Air Jordan 1 models. The upper part of the sneaker is comprised of an olive-based nubuck material with black detailing and contrasting red accents. An added stash pouch on the collar is reminiscent of the kinds of pockets that can be found on the side of cargo pants and military gear. Dressed in a decidedly “USA” inspired look, the Jordan 7 “New Sheriff in Town” by Marcus Jordan and Trophy Room references the famous quote Michael had for Dream Team teammates Magic Johnson and Larry Bird during a Dream Team practice.
